IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTChanges coming in May! Starting May 5, we have a special update for CLP Kids (K-5th graders) during the 9:15 service. They will now join you in the Sanctuary for opening worship, prayer, and communion and then they'll leave with the CLP Kids team out the front south door when dismissed. Check-in will be at the Bell Tower entrance starting at 9:00. Notice that nursery and pre-schoolers (CLP Littles) will check in and start in their regular classrooms. This change applies only to K-5th grade. Remember, May 19 is a BIG DAY for The Church at Litchfield Park! It is the day we shift from 3 services to 2, allowing for greater engagement and combined worship. The new service times are 8:30 and 10. The 8:30 service is like our current 8 and 9:15 service, and the 10 a.m. service is a beautiful blend of traditional and more contemporary worship. Both services will be in the Sanctuary, and we will have CLP Kids (K-5th), Littles (preschool), and Nursery (0-4yrs) available for both. This means we need more volunteers to serve. We encourage a serve one/attend one model. If you'd like more information, email Brenda at bhoulihan@clp.church. Check-in will be at the Bell Tower entrance, and our wonderful CLP Kids team, will guide them to Kids Church after the opening worship, prayer, and communion/prayer of the Christian community. We want our kids to experience worship alongside their families and in their church community. I hope that you will join us and celebrate all that God is doing at CLP and embrace all that He is going to do through our continued commitment to His Word, His will, and His ways! |
CLP KIDS Online LessonThe First Letter to the Church in Corinth Today we are going to talk about a letter that Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. Paul cared deeply about these believers in Corinth, so he wrote this letter to guide them in their faith and address some important issues. Just like how we send messages or texts to communicate, Paul used letters to share his thoughts and teachings with faraway friends. In this letter, Paul talks about how to love one another, why it's important to use our special gifts to help others, and what it means to follow Jesus faithfully. He also answers questions they had about how to live as followers of Jesus in their everyday lives. Read the Scripture in your Bible and then consider these Questions: Who do we have faith in? Who do we believe in? Why? Imagine our church as a big puzzle, and each person is a piece. What piece do you think you are, and why is that important for the whole puzzle to be complete?" After you watch the video, consider what God wants us to know? Feel? Do? For more infomation visit:

Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for Jesus and the wonderful things he did for us and the wonderful things He continues to do in this world through His Church. Help us to welcome Jesus into our hearts just like the people in the early church. Help us to love people like Jesus loves us, share our gifts to glorify God, and boldly share the Good News with everyone we meet! Help us to remember that Jesus is our Savior and Lord, who loves us very much. Now, we pray as Jesus taught us to pray [Lord's Prayer]. Amen |
