We are so excited for you to join us for Palm Sunday tomorrow! Please check in as normal but then have your children join you in the Sanctuary for the opening worship, which will include the CLP Kids Choir, followed by the Prayer of the Christian Community. After the church has prayed the Lord's Prayer, be watching for me (Brenda Houlihan) to stand at the front by the south door, ready to take the kids to CLP Kids. 

We're excited to try this hybrid model, which allows the children to learn reverence and join in worship. Then, they can join CLP Kids for a special lesson prepared for them while you remain in worship and hear the message prepared for you!

Please pick up your kids after the service as you are accustomed to doing.

Please bring a palm frond on Palm Sunday, March 24 for our procession of palms. This year’s palms will be burned and the ashes used for the 2025 Ash Wednesday service.

Mark 11:1-11:
"As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 'Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, "Why are you doing this?" say, "The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly."' They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, some people standing there asked, 'What are you doing, untying that colt?' They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, 'Hosanna!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!' 'Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!' 'Hosanna in the highest heaven!' Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve."

Dear God,

Thank you for Jesus and the wonderful things he did for us and the wonderful things He continues to do in this world through His Church. On this Palm Sunday, help us to welcome Jesus into our hearts too, just like the people welcomed him with palm branches. Help us to remember that Jesus is our King and Savior who loves us very much.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Devotional readings, as well as the information about the organizations CLP partners with and supports, provided in the Missions booklet, are meant to help with reflecting on the heart of God and what we can do to help bring about God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. There will also be a candle in your jar to help set up your space for this special time together with God. In addition, we will have an eNews article every Monday that highlights the week's mission organization and includes a link for donations should you prefer to use that method of donating. The CLP Kids extension is found in the book that was given to each family as a gift. Should you decide to use the jar in this way, it is meant to serve as a visible reminder of the difference your household can make as coins or dollars are placed inside, daily, or weekly, as you travel the Lenten road from Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday. Please return the container with your donations on Easter Sunday. If you are unable to attend a worship service at CLP on Easter Sunday, the jar may be returned to the church office. All donations received will be divided evenly between our mission partners. If your household is not able to make a donation, please feel blessed as you use the devotional and candle.
