CLP KIDS Online LessonActs 3 Peter and John, two of Jesus' disciples, were going to the temple to pray. At the temple gate, they saw a man who couldn't walk and had to be carried there every day. The man asked Peter and John for money, but they didn't have any. Instead, Peter said, "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!" Then Peter helped the man up, and immediately the man's feet and ankles became strong. He could walk for the first time in his life! The man was so happy that he jumped around and praised God. Everyone at the temple saw this miracle and was amazed. Peter told the people that it was Jesus who had healed the man, not them. He encouraged the people to believe in Jesus and turn away from their sins. Because of this miracle, many people started to believe in Jesus. Even though the religious leaders were upset, Peter and John continued to share the good news about Jesus with boldness and courage. Pray
Dear God, Thank you for Jesus and the wonderful things He did for us and the wonderful things He continues to do in this world through His Church. Help us to welcome Jesus into our hearts just like the people in the early church. Help us to invite others into healing through Jesus. Help us to remember that Jesus is our Savior and Lord, who loves us very much. In Jesus' name, Amen. |
