CLP Kids Christmas PartyIt is that time of the year again when we come together and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior with festive fun and a kid's night IN at the church so that parents can have a night OUT (for a couple of hours to do Santa-like stuff, rest, or enjoy dinner/date night). This is a WHITE ELEPHANT event. Please bring a small gift for $5 or less and wrap it for the event. Dress in your favorite festive pajamas to watch movies, get crafty, play some games, and eat some pizza! Your child isn't going to want to miss this! Registration is required, and we would love youth volunteers. If you are a youth leader and would like to volunteer, email bhoulihan@clp.church. |

Signs and WondersThis week, we continue the incredible story of Moses and how God used him in unexpected ways to deliver His people. Even though Moses was nervous and asked God to send someone else, he chose to be obedient, trusting in God's plan. From encountering God in the burning bush to boldly confronting Pharaoh, Moses' journey reminds us that God equips those He calls. Last week, we learned about how Moses was saved as a baby, raised in Pharaoh’s household, and later fled Egypt after standing up for one of his fellow Israelites. This week, we’ll see how God worked through Moses to show His power through the plagues and how He delivered His people by parting the Red Sea. Next Sunday (November 24), CLP Kids will bring the story to life by acting it out! This week, we’ll work on creating props for the plagues and the Red Sea. From frogs and locusts to waves and dry ground, each child will have the opportunity to help prepare for this exciting retelling of God’s faithfulness. We can’t wait to see the story unfold through the creativity and enthusiasm of our kids! |

The Story for ChildrenDear Parents: Blessings to all of you and your family! Welcome to The Story for Children! We are pleased and honored that your child is with us and going to be participating in The Story for Children Curriculum. As you may know, this program has thirty-one lessons—thirty-one beautiful messages of God’s love and care for his children. Each lesson is designed so that your child will be made completely aware of God’s message in each one through the Bible verses, Bible Points, the stories, and various activities. While we as a class explore God’s Word, we encourage you to extend that exploration to your home. Share your own love of His Word with your child, talk about what you are learning in your adult class, and allow your child time to freely talk about and ask questions about what is being learned. Be sure to encourage sharing the activity sheets or have your child tell you the Bible story that has been highlighted each week. Even allow them to tell you about some of the discussions that have taken place and continue them at dinner or family reflection time! Look for the chapter Parents’ Page. Read and do some of the activities that are part of the Parents’ Page sent home each week (some chapters are covered over multiple weeks and an eNews is sent on Sunday with the details about that Sunday's lesson focus). This is a family experience. God is the all-loving Father; we are his children. As The Story unfolds for all of us here at The Church at Litchfield Park, share the experience with your child.
