Many of us believe that we aren’t good enough to meet other people’s expectations. Maybe you can’t wrap words around why, but lurking beneath the surface of the carefully curated façade you present in public, it’s there. Being missed and marginalized by others moves us to assume we’re not quite good enough for God either.

The great news woven throughout the Gospel according to Luke is that perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. In fact, this riveting account reveals that Jesus is especially fond of ragamuffins in need of a safe place to lean in and linger! Join Lisa Harper in this Bible study of a literary masterpiece that doesn’t celebrate the elite, but embraces the outliers, outcasts, and overlooked!

The Table@CLP is an intergenerational space where adults, kids, and teens can be themselves, share a meal, and grow together.

Each Wednesday from 5:15 - 6:30 pm we enjoy a free dinner, live music, a story about Jesus and conversation.

Women@CLP Gathering: Movie, Fellowship, and Blessing Bracelets!

Join us on November 2, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM, for a special Women@CLP gathering as we come together to watch the heartwarming Hallmark movie, The Blessing Bracelet.

The Blessing Bracelet tells the story of Dawn Spencer, a single mother who is struggling to balance her life while dealing with the debt left behind by her ex-husband. As she approaches Easter, feeling overwhelmed, Dawn finds a bracelet she made years ago with four beads, each representing a blessing in her life. By focusing on these blessings, Dawn's faith is renewed, and she experiences a positive transformation. With the support of her church community and the encouragement of a new friend, Ben, Dawn's journey takes a beautiful and unexpected turn.

While the movie is set around Easter, we hope its message inspires us to focus on "Our Many Blessings" as we move into the busy holiday season.

There is a $5 fee for this event to cover the cost of bracelet resources, and each attendee will leave with their own blessing bracelet. Additional bracelet kits will also be available, so you can share this beautiful expression of faith and gratitude with friends and family.

This event will include an appetizer potluck—bring your favorite appetizer to share, and we'll provide the movie snacks!

Your joyful giving makes programs like Co-Mission Camp, Women@CLP, VBS, and many others possible. 

At CLP, we tithe; 10% of our income goes to local and international missions.

Volunteers will sort and pack food at Skyway Church, west of Bullard on Van Buren, and then deliver to individual seniors at a low income apartment complex in Avondale.  We will meet at Skyway at 7AM.  Bulk Food Donations come from St. Mary's Food Bank.
