The Gospel of SalvationThe Power of God's Love - Sunday, May 7, 2023 Hello Church at Litchfield Park family!I hope you're all feeling encouraged and uplifted by God's grace. Today, I'd like to dive into Romans 1:1-17 (NIV), an incredible passage where the Apostle Paul introduces us to the Gospel of Salvation. Let's take a closer look:
In this passage, Paul beautifully outlines the core message of the Gospel of Salvation. Let's explore some key insights from this text and how they can inspire and transform our lives as followers of Jesus. Called to Share the Good NewsPaul saw himself as a servant of Christ, set apart for the Gospel of God. He knew that his mission was to share the Good News with others, particularly the Gentiles. We too are called to share the Gospel, spreading the love and hope of Jesus with those around us. Everyone Who BelievesPaul makes it clear that the Gospel brings salvation to everyone who believes, both Jews and Gentiles. This message of universal salvation underscores the inclusiveness of God's love, inviting all people to experience His grace and forgiveness. As followers of Jesus, we can celebrate and share this message of hope with others. The Power of the GospelAccording to Paul, the Gospel is the power of God that brings salvation. It is not just a collection of stories or teachings; it is the very means by which God's love and grace are made manifest in the world. As we embrace the Gospel in our own lives, we can experience the transformative power of God's love, strengthening our faith and deepening our relationship with Him. Righteousness by FaithIn Romans 1:17, Paul quotes the Old Testament prophet Habakkuk, saying, "The righteous will live by faith." This truth reveals that our righteousness comes not through our own efforts or good deeds, but through faith in Jesus Christ. By trusting in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross, we can receive the gift of righteousness and enjoy a restored relationship with God. Boldness in Sharing the GospelPaul declares that he is not ashamed of the Gospel. This bold statement reminds us of the importance of being courageous and confident in sharing the Good News with others. We can take heart from Paul's example, trusting in the power of the Gospel and sharing it with those around us without fear or hesitation. ConclusionSo, friends, let's embrace the life-changing message of the Gospel of Salvation, trusting in God's love, grace, and power to transform our lives and the lives of those around us. As we share the Good News with boldness and conviction, we can experience the joy of seeing hearts touched and lives changed by the incredible love of Jesus. Let's step out in faith, confident in the knowledge that the Gospel truly is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. For more infomation visit:

Together in ChristA weekly, sermon-focused, small group, Bible study - Tuesday, May 9, 2023 Join us on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30 or Wednesdays from 6-7 as we go deeper into God's Word. Jesus teaches that in God's kingdom, things are different than we might expect. Sometimes, it even seems as though it is upside down when we hear that the last will be first and the first will be last, and the greatest in the kingdom are the ones who serve others. In God's kingdom, mercy triumphs over fairness, and grace abounds. We are called to be extravagantly generous and relentlessly forgiving. Entrusted with gifts and grace, we learn to live out these kingdom ways, sharing God's love with others and using all that we have to bring glory to God. For more infomation visit:

STEWARDHIP MOMENT
THANK YOU for the many ways you give support to The Church at Litchfield Park. You, the congregation approved the 2023 operating budget in the amount of $971,133. To meet that goal, it requires $80,928 a month in total income. The congregation also approved using the Willis Endowment Fund as needed to cover part or all of the salaries for the Children and Youth Ministry Director, CLP Kids and Adult Education. To date we have not dispersed any Willis Endowment Funds. One of our Core Values is Stewardship: We have grateful hearts so we value stewardship. We acknowledge that all we have comes from God. As stewards of God’s gifts, we manage ourselves and our possessions in service to God. Thank you to all who share their gifts and talents in service to God and others. Giving financially is an act of worship and can be done through Sunday’s plate offering, the app, website or mailing a check. Whether it be a commitment of $1 a week or $1,000 a week all monies received go toward the annual operating budget unless otherwise designated. We give because the Lord first gave to us. Your leadership team is GRATEFUL, THANKFUL, PLEASED, OVERWHELMED, and APPRECIATIVE. For more infomation visit:
