Youth Sunday 2026

Youth Sunday 2026

Youth Sunday Celebrates Faith in Action

Our congregation was blessed by a meaningful Youth Sunday as our students took an active role in leading worship and sharing their faith with the church family.

Throughout the service, our youth participated by leading portions of the liturgy, assisting in worship, and helping guide the congregation through the morning. Their willingness to serve was a wonderful reminder that God is at work in the lives of our young people.

One of the highlights of the service was hearing students reflect on their experiences at this summer's Co-Mission Camp. They shared heartfelt stories about serving others, building friendships, growing in their faith, and discovering new ways to live out Christ's love in their everyday lives. Their testimonies reminded us that mission work is about more than completing projects—it's about allowing God to shape our hearts as we serve our neighbors.

Thank you to all of our youth, Brody, Madysen, Monty, Kaitlyn, Lucas, Campbell ,Lily, and Toby,  who made Youth Sunday such a special celebration. We are grateful for your dedication, your servant hearts, and the many ways you enrich the life of The Church at Litchfield Park.

Please continue to pray for our youth as they grow in faith and continue to discover how God is calling them to serve His world.

DIY Kitchen Cleanup Day 2026

DIY Kitchen Cleanup Day 2026

Serving Together to Care for Our Church

Our church kitchen received a wonderful refresh during our DIY Kitchen Cleaning Day, thanks to an incredible team of volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to serve.

Throughout the day, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to deep clean appliances, organize cabinets and storage areas, scrub countertops, clean shelves, wash walls, and tackle those hard to reach places.  Their hard work has left the kitchen cleaner, safer, and ready to continue serving the many ministries, fellowship meals, and special events that take place throughout the year.

More than just cleaning a kitchen, the day was a beautiful reminder that every act of service—big or small—is an important part of the ministry of The Church at Litchfield Park. By working side by side, our volunteers demonstrated the spirit of community and stewardship that makes our church such a welcoming place.

Take a look at a just few highlights from the day below!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our DIY Kitchen Cleaning Day a tremendous success!

A Gentle Reminder: Protect Yourself from Phone & Banking Scams

A Gentle Reminder: Protect Yourself from Phone & Banking Scams

We want to share an important reminder with our church family.

Unfortunately, scams have become increasingly sophisticated, and recently one of our own members lost a significant amount of money after receiving what appeared to be a legitimate phone call from their bank. The caller ID displayed the bank's phone number, and the caller had enough personal information to sound trustworthy. The scam ultimately involved transferring money through Zelle.

Please remember:

  • Be cautious of unexpected phone calls, even if the caller ID appears to be your bank or another trusted organization. Phone numbers can be "spoofed" to look legitimate.
  • Never feel pressured to act immediately. Scammers often create a sense of urgency to keep you from stopping to think.
  • If someone claims to be from your bank, hang up and call the bank directly using the phone number on the back of your debit or credit card or from the bank's official website.
  • Never send money to yourself or to a "safe" account through Zelle or another payment service because someone on the phone tells you to. Banks will not ask you to do this.
  • Never share verification codes or passwords that are texted or emailed to you.
  • When in doubt, ask someone you trust before sending money or sharing personal information.

Scammers are becoming very convincing, and anyone can become a victim. The best defense is to slow down, verify independently, and never let someone on an unexpected call rush you into making a financial decision.

Let's continue to look out for one another. If you hear about a new scam or have concerns about a suspicious call or message, don't hesitate to share it with family, friends, or another trusted person. A simple conversation may help protect someone else.
