Advent in CLP Kids
Hey CLP Kids and families! We’re so excited to invite you to a special Advent season filled with fun, learning, and celebration! Each week, we’ll explore a different aspect of Advent and discover the amazing gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love that lead us to the greatest gift of all—Jesus! Here’s what we have planned:
Later that day, don’t miss our Annual Live Nativity from 5 to 7 PM! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy Christmas crafts, Santa photos, a hayride and caroling, a hot chocolate bar, a bake sale, a remembrance in the sanctuary, and much more.
We can’t wait to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with you and your family. Join us this Advent season at CLP Kids! In Christ, Brenda and the CLP Kids Team

Advent Week 1: Hope
Advent begins with hope—a light in the darkness. Hope reminds us that no matter how tough life may feel, God's promises are true, and His faithfulness never fails. Hope is like the first spark that lights a candle, guiding us through hard times and reminding us of the Savior who was promised to us. Through Jesus, we find the hope that anchors our hearts, even when things seem uncertain. For more infomation visit:

Advent Week 2: Peace
This week, we celebrate peace—the kind that only Jesus, the Prince of Peace, can bring. The angels proclaimed, "Peace on earth, goodwill to men," when Jesus was born, showing us that His peace is for everyone. Peace teaches us how to love others, even those we might not agree with, and how to find calm in our hearts through God's presence. Just like hope is a light in the dark, peace is a way we can share that light with others, helping them see God’s love and faithfulness. Together, hope and peace lead us closer to the incredible gift of Jesus' birth. For more infomation visit:

Advent Week 3: Joy
This week of Advent, we celebrate joy! Joy is more than just being happy—it’s the lasting light in our hearts that comes from knowing Jesus. The pink candle on the Advent wreath, called the Shepherd's Candle, reminds us of the shepherds who were filled with incredible joy when they heard the good news of Jesus’ birth. The Bible teaches us that true joy doesn’t come from things like toys or even people—it comes from Jesus. With Him in our hearts, His joy is with us always. Together with hope and peace, joy leads us closer to celebrating the gift of Jesus, the light of the world! For more infomation visit:

Advent Week 4: Love
Can you believe we’re already in the fourth week of Advent? Christmas is so close, and this week we celebrate love! Love is the greatest gift Jesus brought to us, and it’s at the heart of everything He taught. This candle reminds us of all the ways love shows up—like Joseph’s love for Mary, Mary and Joseph’s love for Jesus, and most importantly, God’s love for all of us. The Bible says, “Love never fails,” and Jesus proved that by coming to earth, teaching us, and sacrificing Himself for us. With hope, peace, joy, and love, we’re ready to celebrate the greatest gift of all—Jesus, the light of the world! For more infomation visit:

Christmas! The Christ Candle This is it—the final candle, the Christ Candle! It’s the one in the center of the Advent wreath because everything we’ve celebrated—hope, peace, joy, and love—comes from Jesus. This candle is white, reminding us that Jesus is pure, holy, and the light of the world. When He was born, He brought the greatest gift of all—Himself! Jesus stepped into our world to show us God’s love, and His light shines in our hearts forever. As we light this candle, we remember that Jesus is the reason for everything we celebrate this Christmas! For more infomation visit:

CLP Kids (Sunday School and Kids' Church)
CLP Kids: Worship, Learn, and Grow in Faith! Children from Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to join us for CLP Kids during the 8:30 AM service in Classrooms 5 and 6. Every Sunday, we check in and begin in the sanctuary with our families, and then the Pastor dismisses us to Kids Church. In CLP Kids, we start with worship, followed by an engaging lesson and a fun, hands-on activity. Our time together is designed to help children learn about the Creator, His Creation, His will, and His ways, while building a strong foundation in their identity in Christ. We hope your children can join us as we grow in faith, build community, and explore God’s love and mission together! |
