2022 Annual Meeting

Sunday, November 20, 2022

The annual meeting for the church is this Sunday at 11:45 a.m. in Souers Community Hall. We are installing new deacons, voting on the budget, and new officers. The meeting is open to everyone, but only church members may vote. Your attendance is important in the planning for the future of our church, and a quorum of the congregation is needed. The 2022 Annual Report was emailed to members. Copies are available at the link below, the sanctuary, and the church office if needed.

This Week's Sermon

Finishing Well

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Lynne brings our seven-week series on Pursuing God's Own Heart to a close. We will read King David's last words and see how his life can teach us how to Finish Well! The Scripture lesson is below.

1 Chronicles 29:10-13, 26-28

David’s Prayer

¹⁰David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying,

“Praise be to you, Lord,
    the God of our father Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
11 Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
    and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
    for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
    you are exalted as head over all.
12 Wealth and honor come from you;
    you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
    to exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
    and praise your glorious name.

26 David son of Jesse was king over all Israel. 27 He ruled over Israel forty years—seven in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem. 28 He died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.
