Sunday's Service & SermonOur band was particularly awesome yesterday! This past Sunday, Pastor Kris shared the story of when Jeremiah was called to serve the Lord. Jeremiah didn’t feel that he was ready, yet God told him that He would be with him, rescue him, and give him the words to say. When God calls us to serve, He always provides everything we need. As you prepare your heart and mind to watch this sermon, think about the ways that God is calling you to serve. Please enjoy viewing and sharing our specially produced video with hymns, prayers, the band, and the sermon by Pastor Kris.

CLP Kids, Youth, and Nursery Highlights
It was Serve Sunday in CLP Kids, and our focus has been on the basic things we need and how we can support others who are in need. We've been working on Blessing Bags and yesterday, we learned our new February memory verse:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16) In Rise Up, Youth!, we unpacked the sermon, and Becca shared an incredible song that beautifully applied what we learned. Here is the link to "Jesus Saves" by Riley Green: https://youtu.be/Zrm8t6n0-vA?si=aecHGhc8ngVA-EQZ This is why serving with children and youth fills me with hope! Watching them wrestle with faith and express it in ways that inspire others reminds me how vital it is to invest in the next generation. I am humbled by Becca’s beautiful heart shared through this song. Our ONE THING focus was on our tendency to drift from God and how staying the course requires intention. Just as Israel repeatedly wandered, God continually pursued them, sending prophets to call them back. Reflecting on Pastor Kris’s sermon, I think of Jeremiah—young, uncertain, yet called by God. He doubted, but God assured him that those He sends, He equips. Like Jeremiah, our children are set apart with purpose, and it is our privilege to walk alongside them, nurture their faith, and remind them that God is with them. We are called to pour into our children because faith is not inherited—it is cultivated (think about the parable of the soils that Pastor Ted shared at The Table@CLP). If we do not teach them who God was, is, and will always be, the world will fill that void with its own version of truth. Let's be intentional in showing them the love of Christ, helping them recognize His presence in their daily lives, know His truth, and equipping them to be lights in the darkness. Have a great week, and please continue to pray over our children as they grow in their faith, learn, and practice what it means to serve in Christ’s love and engage in God's mission. Blessings, |
